Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration's San Francisco VA Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide comprehensive anesthesia care for Veterans undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures.

You will collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, proceduralists, and nurses to develop individualized anesthesia plans, perform induction to emergence, monitor physiologic status, and manage postoperative analgesia and recovery.

Qualifications

• CRNA negotiates and delivers anesthesia care from pre-op assessment through post-op recovery.
• Develops individualized anesthesia plans based on patient condition and procedure.
• Performs induction, maintenance, emergence and recovery with continuous monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with anesthesiologists, surgeons, proceduralists, nurses to ensure safe, Veteran-centered care.
• Maintains ongoing monitoring of cardiovascular, respiratory, neurologic status and patient safety.
• Documents anesthesia assessments, plans, medications, and outcomes accurately and timely.
