Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a certified RN Anesthetist (CRNA/APRN) to provide pre-, intra-, and post-anesthesia services in a PRN/part-time capacity in Illinois. The role collaborates with surgeons and the anesthesia team to deliver safe, effective anesthesia care.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, preparing equipment and medications, managing induction and emergence, and handling emergencies per ACLS/PALS. Illinois license, NBCRNA, and DEA required; Master’s in Nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and APRN license with NBCRNA CRNA certification.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire.
• Illinois Controlled Substance License for Illinois practice.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-anesthesia care per plan.
• Prepare equipment, meds, and personnel for planned anesthetic.
• Deliver anesthesia including induction, maintenance, and emergence.
• Manage emergencies with airway and ACLS protocols.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in education and onboarding of staff.
• Contribute to quality, safety, and peer-review activities.
