Midwestern University seeks an Assistant Professor for its Nurse Anesthesia Program in Downers Grove, IL. The role focuses on didactic and clinical teaching within the DNAP track, covering coursework like Physiology, Pharmacology, and scholarly projects across the curriculum.

The candidate will teach, mentor, and assess students; expectation includes on-campus lectures and simulation labs, with optional remote days and ongoing program involvement.

Formación

• Active CRNA certification/recertification by NBCRNA.
• Unencumbered RN and/or APRN license (Illinois eligible).
• A doctoral degree (DNAP, DNP, Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical CRNA experience.
• Preferred: teaching experience and Didactic Educator credentials.

Responsabilidades

• Teach within the entry-into-practice DNAP program.
• Deliver courses such as Principles and Pathophysiology, Pharmacology for Anesthesia, and Scholarly Projects.
• In-person lectures, simulation lab training, and faculty meetings.
• Provide student advising and participate in program activities.
• Weekly on-campus presence with optional up to 2 remote days.

CRNA certification

RN/APRN licensure

3+ years CRNA clinical experience

Didactic teaching experience

AANA Didactic Educator Micro-cred
