Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join the Anesthesiology department. The CRNA will perform preanesthetic assessments, develop anesthesia plans, and supervise anesthesia delivery including general, regional, local, and sedation techniques.

On-call coverage may be required, with continuous patient evaluation throughout the perioperative period. Responsibilities include documenting assessments, managing pain modalities, and ensuring safe recovery and discharge from

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
• Hold current Ohio licensure as a registered nurse.
• Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation.
• Complete the AANA Certification examination.
• Maintain biennial re-certification including active practice and licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document preanesthetic assessment and evaluation.
• Provide general, regional, local and sedation coverage.
• Select, obtain and administer anesthetics and other drugs.
• Facilitate emergency and recovery from anesthesia.
• Provide postanesthesia care.

Job Description Summary:

To initiate the anesthetic technique to include general, regional, local and sedation. Provide continuous evaluation of patient’s physical status. Select, obtain and administer anesthetics and other drugs and fluids. Discharge patients from postanesthesia care and provide follow up evaluation. Respond to emergency situations. Provide on call coverage as required. All services provided will be supervised by a Physician as required by Ohio law.

Additional Job Description:

Graduate from an approved school of nursing and hold current Ohio licensure as a registered nurse.
