Qualifications

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

Assist with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating data pertinent to the patient’s medical and surgical history with consideration of the planned procedure.
Maintain a safe environment and respond appropriately to emergencies and safety hazards.
Prepare and administer medications and fluids in accordance with safe practice standards.
Monitor airway, depth of anesthesia, fluids status, and physiologic response to anesthesia to ensure patient safety.
Complete required documentation including surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, and transfer-of-care note.
Log incident reporting in the Safety Portal.
Perform other duties as assigned.
