Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate-level nurse anesthesia education completed and eligible for certification/licensure.
• Ability to provide anesthesia care across diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA are delineated by his or her clinical privileges.
• Assists with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating data pertinent to the patient’s medical and surgical history.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds appropriately to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids in accordance with accepted standards of safe practice.
• Supports ongoing assessment of airway, anesthesia depth, fluid status, and physiologic response to anesthesia.
• Completes required documentation including the surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, and transfer-of-care note.
• Logs incident reporting in the computerized Safety Portal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor
