Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the COA or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA are delineated by clinical privileges.
• Assists with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating data pertinent to patient medical and surgical history.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids safely.
• Monitors airway, anesthesia depth, fluids status, and physiologic response to anesthesia.
• Completes documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, and transfer-of-care note.
• Logs incident reporting in the computerized Safety Portal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
