Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a CRNA III to deliver expert, independent anesthesia care across a wide range of procedures at our Charlotte, NC locations. This full-time role offers exposure to diverse surgical specialties and a collaborative team environment.

You will work with anesthesiologists and surgical teams, monitor patients through anesthesia and recovery, and float between sites as needed. A sign-on bonus up to $100,000 and relocation support are available to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

  • Education: BSN/MSN/DNP or higher; NBCRNA CRNA certification.
  • Current RN licensure and NBCRNA-certified CRNA in state of practice.
  • Minimum continuing education requirements every four years as NBCRNA.
  • Ability to provide anesthesia care for all case types within CRNA privileges.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care across pediatrics to geriatrics.
  • Administer anesthetics for diverse surgical and non-surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical teams.
  • Adjust anesthetic plans based on patient status as needed.
  • Practice independently within full CRNA scope of privileges.
  • Float between sites based on staffing needs.

As a CRNA III you’ll be trusted to deliver expert, independent anesthesia care across a wide range of procedures and patient needs. From routine surgeries to complex cases, your clinical skill, judgment, and adaptability will help drive safe, compassionate care where it matters most. In addition, the CRNA Level III utilizes skills obtained through additional training, education and/or experience in the provision of anesthesia care to patients who present with complex and unique anesthetic requirements.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care to pediatrics through geriatric populations
  • Administer anesthetics for a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures

  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical teams
  • Adjust anesthetic plans as needed based on changing patient status
  • Practice independently within full CRNA scope of privileges
  • Float between sites based on staffing needs and patient volume
What We're Looking For
  • Education: BSN, MSN, DNP, and/or graduate diploma level certification required. Graduate from both an Accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia. Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and recognized by the state of practice as a CRNA. Must meet minimum continuing education requirements every four years of the NBCRNA. Required.
  • Experience: Previous experience is not necessary. Four to six week orientation period (working with preceptor) is required. Orientation period will depend on previous experience and clinical skills.
  • Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. Current CRNA endorsement in appropriate state, required. NBCRNA certification, ACLS certification, BLS certification and PALS certification within NH policy, required.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Must have extensive knowledge of current anesthetic agents, techniques, drugs and equipment. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify the anesthetic plan of care suitable to patient age. Must have considerable ability to make independent decisions, sometimes under stress, and to maintain a professional demeanor with patients, coworkers and physicians. Must be able to provide anesthesia care for all case types (excluding specialty teams such as heart and neonatal teams).
