Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license (if applicable).
• Master’s Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment; administer anesthesia including IV, spinal, and other methods.
• Monitor patient vitals and responses during anesthesia; document and report postoperative status.
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, ensure tests are completed and patient condition is suitable.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and participate in airway management during emergencies.
