Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by COA or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

• Collects, reviews, and evaluates patient data related to history for planned procedures.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
• Monitors airway, anesthesia depth, fluids status, and physiologic responses for patient safety.
• Completes documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intraoperative anesthetic record, transfer-of-care note.
• Logs incidents in the computerized Safety Portal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor
