Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

• Assists with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating patient data relevant to medical and surgical history for planned procedures.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
• Monitors airway, anesthesia depth, fluid status, and physiologic responses to ensure patient safety.
• Completes required documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, transfer-of-care notes.
