Job summary

The ECAA - Anesthesia Specialists seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, NC. This full-time exempt role offers autonomous practice with immediate physician support, a Monday–Friday schedule, and shared call responsibilities.

You will evaluate patients, administer anesthesia, monitor intraoperative care, and provide post-anesthesia recovery. Generous compensation includes base income near $300,000 plus incentives and a $100,000

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with NC licensure.
• NC state board certification required.
• Minimum 3+ years experience in high-acuity settings.
• Continuing education/compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers general anesthetics and pain medication, adjusting as needed before, during, and after surgery.
• Maintains patient records.
• Works closely with surgical specialists.
• Performs venous and arterial punctures, and may place spinals and A-lines.
• Prepares pre-anesthesia evaluation.
• Provides post-anesthesia care and evaluation.
• Provides and monitors mechanical ventilation.
• Communicate with patients and families.
• Monitors vital signs and manages adverse reactions.
• Takes tracheal intubation, airway management, and extubation.
• Monitors patients post-procedure to determine recovery readiness.
• Takes detailed medical history to identify allergies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
