Job summary
Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time day shift. You will collaborate with anesthesia staff to provide high-quality care in inpatient and expanded outpatient facilities, and participate in research and education initiatives within the department.
The role requires a master's degree in nursing, IL APRN and RN licenses, NBCRNA, BLS, ACLS. A sign-on bonus of $50,000 is offered along with the system's benefits package.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- Advance Practice Registered Nurse (IL) license.
- Registered Professional Nurse (IL) license.
- NBCRNA certification.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Selects appropriate equipment and completes room set up in anticipation of patient's needs; completes room set up in an efficient, thorough and cost effective manner.
- Ensures preoperative documentation is complete, collaborates plan of care with attending anesthesiologist and surgical team.
- Manages all aspects of anesthesia care based on the patient's physiological response to anesthesia and surgery, consults attending anesthesiologists or other interdisciplinary team members as appropriate.
- Performs complete, accurate and legible preoperative, intra-operative and postoperative documentation.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
