Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time, day-shift role in Illinois. The CRNA will provide high-quality anesthesia care in collaboration with staff anesthesiologists for inpatient and expanded outpatient facilities.

Responsibilities include equipment prep, documentation, and patient-specific anesthesia management. A strong clinical background and IL licenses are required; a sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• IL APRN-CRNA license and RN IL license.
• NBCRNA certification.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and completes room setup in anticipation of patient's needs; completes room setup efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensures preoperative documentation is complete and collaborates on plan of care with attending anesthesiologist and surgical team.
• Manages all aspects of anesthesia care based on patient response; consults with attending anesthesiologists or interdisciplinary team as needed.
• Performs complete, accurate preoperative, intra-operative and postoperative documentation.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Master's degree in nursing (or equivalent) from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program

APRN-CRNA license (Illinois)

RN license (Illinois)

NBCRNA certification

BLS for Healthcare Providers

ACLS certification
