Job summary

UPMC Passavant is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join the Anesthesiology team. This non-exempt hourly position offers a flexible schedule in a 400-bed tertiary care center with opportunities across cardiothoracic, general, ENT, neurospine, and more.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality anesthesia care, participate in ongoing education, and benefit from a robust career ladder and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program required.
• Knowledgeable regarding controlled substance policies in accordance with Federal and State laws required.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and related care, including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthesia support.
• Assumes responsibility and is accountable for controlled substances according to department and hospital policy and State and federal guidelines
• Assists with the teaching and evaluation of CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Review documentation for informed consent and identify the surgical site with OR staff and surgeon.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement process through documentation, incident reporting, evaluation, education, and implementation.
