Job summary

SRMC Summersville Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide comprehensive anesthesia care for a range of procedures. The role involves collaboration with supervising physicians and strict adherence to hospital policies to ensure patient safety.

The CRNA will participate in pre-anesthetic evaluation, select anesthetic techniques, and manage induction, maintenance, and emergence of anesthesia, while monitoring and responding to patient conditions

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of West Virginia, or applicable state where services will be performed.
• Board certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Patient safety at all times.
• Maintains excellence in airway management and familiarity with airway adjuncts.
• Work within scope of delineated clinical privileges.
• Administers IV fluids and blood products as needed.
• Documents anesthesia records accurately.
• Performs safety checks on anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Participates in pre-anesthetic evaluation and selection of anesthetic techniques.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence of anesthesia across cases.
• Communicate with surgical team during peri-operative care.
• Provide anesthesia care in emergencies in absence of an anesthesiologist.
