Job summary

UKG is seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for an on-site, full-time role in Chesapeake, VA. The CRNA will work closely with physicians and surgeons to ensure safe anesthesia administration before, during, and after procedures, including patient assessment, plan development, and post-anesthesia recovery.

The position requires an accredited Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia, NBCRNA certification, active RN and APRN licenses, and BLS/ACLS

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia
• Current NBCRNA certification
• Active RN license in the practicing state
• Active APRN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, including patient history and physical exam.
• Develop individualized anesthesia care plans with the surgical team.
• Administer general, regional, local, and sedation anesthesia techniques as needed.
• Monitor vital signs, airway, and overall patient condition during procedures.
• Provide immediate post-anesthesia care with pain management and recovery assessment.
• Respond to emergencies including airway management and resuscitation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care in patient records.
• Adhere to professional, legal, and ethical standards; participate in QA and continuing education.
