Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a qualified nurse anesthetist to deliver anesthesia in the Operating Room, supporting surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under supervision. You will perform preoperative evaluations and postoperative follow-up, serving as a patient advocate and ensuring clear communication with families and physicians.

You will mentor staff and students, coordinate with the team for safety, equipment readiness and proper positioning, and document all care in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing is required.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to interpret hemodynamic data and manage airway and anesthesia equipment.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Anesthetizes patients, selects drugs, and responds to emergencies.
• Induces, maintains, and monitors anesthesia, adjusting medications as needed.
• Communicates patient status with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Performs thorough preoperative evaluations and organizes OR setup.
• Coordinates with staff to ensure patient safety, equipment readiness, and proper positioning.
• Provides anesthesia support across assigned areas and documents in EMR.
• Ensures safe patient transportation and handoff to the receiving team.
• Acts as a mentor and preceptor to peers, staff, and students.
