Flagstaff Medical Center CRNA Position:

Group Summary: Flagstaff Medical Center is part of the Northern Arizona Healthcare system. CRNAs are based at one of the two hospitals but may cover shifts at either facility (not required). At FMC, there are 16 CRNAs working collaboratively with 21 physicians in a medical direction model (1:3 ratio). We offer a fun, professional environment with diverse cases, excellent surgeons, and a supportive team.

Case Mix: Coverage includes 12 ORs in the main hospital and 3 ORs at an outpatient surgery center, plus endoscopy, cardiology, and radiology. As a level 1 trauma and regional referral center, we handle a broad case mix and acuity levels. CRNAs perform all procedures except cardiac and OB, including nerve blocks and regional anesthesia. We do not handle transplants or neonates.

Employment Details: Salaried position averaging 40 hours/week, with shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours, including days and evenings but no night shifts after 11 pm. Shifts may be 7a-3p, 7a-5p, 7a-7p, or 3p-11p. Many shifts end early; as a salaried employee, hours are not lost if you finish early. CRNAs work approximately 1 weekend every 5 weeks and one weekday evening every 6 weeks. PTO accrues based on service length, with 28 days/year for 0-4 years and 34 days/year for over 4 years, and can be carried over annually.

Assignments: Shifts are scheduled per preference, and extra shifts are available but optional. You are never required to work beyond your scheduled hours unless you choose to pick up additional work.
