Qualifications
- Graduate of an educational program in Nurse Anesthesia accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs and Schools.
- CRNAs must hold CA RN license and CA CRNA certification where applicable.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) registration.
- CRNA National Certification must be current.
Responsibilities
- Upholds Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures and applicable laws.
- Evaluates patients pre-operatively and reviews chart for relevant information.
- Selects anesthetic based on pre-operative exam in collaboration with the anesthesiologist.
- Monitors intraoperative patient status and postoperative condition within 24 hours.
