Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures, including cardio-thoracic surgery and cardiac catheterizations. You will contribute to patient care across a wide range of cases in a high-acuity environment.

You will also participate in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students, supporting education and evidence-based practice while upholding safety standards and hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• APN with CRNA Specialty certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic surgeries.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
• Adhere to safety standards and hospital protocols during all procedures.
