Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks an experienced CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and cardio-thoracic cases. The role includes clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
• APN with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic cases.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
