Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the COA or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities defined by clinical privileges.
• Assists with collecting and evaluating patient data relevant to the planned procedure.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
• Monitors airway, anesthesia depth, fluid status and physiologic response to ensure patient safety.
• Completes documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, transfer-of-care note.
• Logs incidents in the computerized Safety Portal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
