University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc. seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons and diverse healthcare teams at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

You will develop individualized plans, monitor patients across all acuity levels, and contribute to education, safety, quality, and research missions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing and accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Two years of anesthesia care in acute setting preferred but not required.
• Valid state APRN recognition (must meet education requirements and obtain within six months of hire).
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the AANA at employment start date.
• Current ACLS and BLS by the American Heart Association.
• NPI and Taxonomy code required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-anesthetic preparation and patient evaluation; obtains informed consent.
• Develops and implements an individualized anesthetic plan of care and administers anesthesia.
• Provides anesthesia induction, ventilation, emergence, and post-anesthesia care.
• Peri-anesthetic monitoring and management of fluids/electrolytes.
• Responds to changes in patient condition in collaboration with physicians.
• Handles emergencies with airway management and ACLS/BLS protocols.
