Job summary

Vance Thompson Vision Clinic is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD. You will provide anesthesia care for ophthalmic procedures, collaborate with surgeons and nurses, and ensure patient safety from pre‑op assessment to post‑operative recovery.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited CRNA program graduate, current RN and CRNA licenses, BLS and ACLS certifications, and prior hospital or ambulatory center experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Current and valid RN and CRNA license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Previous experience in a hospital anesthesia department or ambulatory service center.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other medical providers.
• Care for patients before, during and after procedures.
• Perform patient assessments and prepare patients for anesthesia.
• Administer and monitor anesthesia and pain management.
• Be available until all patients are operated on and discharged.
• Facilitate emergency management protocols, in-services, drills, and training.
• Interact with the surgery center’s QAPI program to improve quality of care.
