Job summary

The University of Miami UHealth Department of Anesthesia is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. The CRNA collaborates with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other clinicians to provide anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-anesthesia visits, assessing history, monitoring vitals, airway management, and post-operative recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or related field required.
• Valid State of Florida APRN license.
• Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS from American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Pre- and post-anesthesia patient visits and documentation.
• Review medical history and determine anesthesia method.
• Monitor anesthesia administration and patient vitals.
• Manage airway and respiratory status during procedures.
• Oversee recovery and immediate post-operative care.
• Develop anesthesia care plans and communicate with physicians.
