Job summary

UofL Health based at University Hospital in Louisville, KY, seeks a CRNA to deliver general, MAC, and regional anesthesia with comprehensive preoperative evaluation and postoperative care in a high-volume academic health system.

Requirements include accredited nurse anesthesia education, Kentucky CRNA license, NBCRNA, BLS and ACLS, and 1 year of CRNA experience preferred. Strong teamwork and proficiency with electronic documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia (COA) or equivalent.
• Active Kentucky CRNA license required.
• NBCRNA certification required.
• BLS certification required and ACLS certification (AHA) required.
• Minimum of one year CRNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and completes pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation.
• Obtains anesthesia consent during preoperative assessment.
• Develops and carries out anesthetic plan including drug selection and monitoring.
• Provides continuous intraoperative monitoring and responds to complications.
• Transfers patient safely to PACU and manages emergency situations.
