Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans seeks an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Anesthetist to administer anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures under physician supervision. Eligible candidates must hold a Master’s degree in nurse anesthesia (AANA accredited), an active APRN license in the practice state, and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nurse anesthesia from an AANA-accredited program.
• Active APRN license in state of practice.
• BCLS certification from American Heart Association.
• No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Document patient procedures and incidents.
• Assess patient before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
• Ensure patient safety and adhere to anesthesia best practices.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care team.
• Participate in department quality assurance and professional development.
