Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a professional to administer anesthesia and related care in collaboration with anesthesiologists. You will perform pre- and post-anesthesia assessments, set up and check equipment, prepare ORs, and participate in airway management and sedation as required.

The role requires a Master\'s or Doctoral degree in a related field, COA accreditation, NY RN license, NBCRNA certification within one year, and BCLS/ACLS/PALS credentials.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in related field is required.
• Graduate from COA-accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Unencumbered NY RN license is required.
• NBCRNA certification within 1 year of graduation required.
• AHA BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre- and post-anesthesia assessments on patients.
• Assembles supplies and equipment for anesthetic cases and checks for safety and proper function.
• Stocks medication carts and anesthesia machines.
• Assists in expediting operating room schedule by preparing patient for surgery.
• Sets up IV fluids and labels each with date/time.
• Performs general anesthesia under supervision including airway management and sedation.
• Assists in post-anesthesia care, including medicating patients as needed.
• Checks and orders supplies and medications as needed.
