Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under direction for diverse surgical procedures and tests, including cardio-thoracic cases. The role includes instructing nurse anesthesia students and contributing to high-quality patient care.

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program is required along with ARNP-CRNA certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing. ACLS, BLS and PALS are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program is required.
• CRNA Specialty certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing is required.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications are required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
