GI Alliance CRNA Job Description
GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team.
Position Purpose
Provide quality and versatile anesthesia care under the direct supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of airway management.
- Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by evaluating patient response, and selecting, ordering, and administering medications and fluids to maintain patient stability during transfer.
- Initiate and administer post-anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system.
- Initiate and administer respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation during the post-anesthesia period.
- Provide post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
- Discharge patients from the post-anesthesia care unit.
- Closely monitor life functions and take corrective actions in case of adverse drug responses.
- Terminate anesthesia in a timely manner, ensuring patient safety during transfer to the post-anesthetic recovery room.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Valid CRNA certification required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a multispecialty physician group preferred.
Performance Requirements
- Transport patients in stretchers to various locations.
- Perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist regularly.
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff.
- Provide appropriate patient care based on knowledge of growth and development.
- Follow infection prevention and control techniques.
- Assess patient data relative to age-specific needs.
- Proficient in technical (computer) skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be self-motivated.
- Maintain a strong sense of ethics.
