Job summary

A leading medical institution in Albany is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to administer anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. Responsibilities include evaluating patients pre and post surgery, responding to airway emergencies, and participating in the teaching of CRNA students. The ideal candidate must hold relevant certifications and be licensed as a Registered Nurse. This position offers a full-time contract with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school approved by the council on Certification of Nurses Anesthesia Educational programs.
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist required.
• Registered Nurse State Licensure required.
• Currently certified by the NBCRNA.

Responsibilities

• Administer general and regional anesthesia under supervision.
• Participate in pre and postoperative patient evaluation.
• Respond to emergencies related to airway management.
• Respond to airway emergencies and resuscitation.
• Participate in teaching and evaluation of students in Albany Med Center program.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety regulations.
