Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) for the Alzheimer’s Care Center in Gardiner. This 20-hour per week, part-time role supports residents in a warm Day Services setting, Monday through Friday 1pm–5pm, under RN supervision.

The CRMA role includes administering medications, documenting orders, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for residents with memory impairment.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of experience is preferred.
• Current Maine CRMA certification required.
• A Personal Support Specialist is required within 120 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support Provider is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities and administers medications as directed.
• Distributes medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and completes all required documentation.
• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping the patient's environment safe, clean, and orderly.
