Cambridge Public Schools is seeking a Home Tutor for Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School in Cambridge, MA. The role provides home tutoring for CRLS students who cannot attend school, for the 2026-2027 year, at a rate of $60/hour, up to 100 hours ($6,000 total).

Position is part-time and starts immediately, with a contract from Sept 1, 2026 to Jun 30, 2027. Experience teaching high school and familiarity with CRLS curriculum are required.

Job Description

Description of Service Opportunity:

Provide home tutoring during the 2026-2027 school year for CRLS student(s) who are temporarily unable to attend school due to illness or other personal circumstance.

Service agreement to be paid at the $60/hour tutoring rate; not to exceed 100 hours ($6,000 total).

MinimumRequirements:

Experience teaching high school; familiarity with CRLS curriculum and instruction.

The Home Tutor may work up to 10 hours per week; not to exceed 200 hours.

Length of Contract:

September 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027

Contract Amount

Not exceed $6000.00

Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exemptemployee and have worked more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
