  • Completion of OSHA 10-hour certification and NFPA-70E training (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to use digital multimeters, amp clamps, and battery testing equipment.
  • Understanding of isolation devices, arc-flash PPE, and PPE usage.
  • Experience connecting battery strings and interpreting torque values.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with battery replacements and new installations for UPS systems.
  • Support preventative and scheduled maintenance with minimal disruption to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site during all phases of work.
  • Follow procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Interact professionally with customers and work with internal teams.
  • Utilize hand tools and maintenance equipment as required.
  • Assist with tasks in other service divisions as needed.
  • Interpret schematic diagrams and verbal instructions to complete tasks.
  • Learn procedures for disconnecting/connecting sealed batteries and building racks.
  • Collect data from preventive maintenance using a laptop.
  • Troubleshoot DC battery systems with increasing independence.
  • Assist in warehouse operations as required.
  • Travel approximately 50% or more to customer sites as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Services Management.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

  • Assist with battery replacements and new installations for UPS systems.
  • Support preventative and scheduled maintenance of battery systems with minimal disruption to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site during all phases of work.
  • Follow operational, maintenance, and emergency procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and interact professionally with customers.
  • Utilize hand tools and general maintenance equipment as required.
  • Assist with tasks in other service divisions, such as Switch Gear, Operations, and HVAC, as needed.
  • Interpret schematic diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions to complete tasks.
  • Learn and apply procedures for disconnecting and connecting sealed batteries, building battery racks, and installing spill containment systems.
  • Collect and enter data from preventive maintenance services using a laptop computer.
  • Gain experience in troubleshooting, routine, and emergency maintenance of DC battery systems with increasing independence.
  • Assist in warehouse operations as required.
  • Travel approximately 50% or more to customer sites as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Services Management.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Qualifications

  • Competency in connecting battery strings in series, parallel, and series-parallel configurations (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to interpret torque values, apply torque‑marking, and visually inspect battery installations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
