Mission Critical Group (MCG) in Abilene, TX is seeking a Material Handler responsible for safely transporting materials between departments. The role requires attention to detail to ensure correct materials are moved and that equipment is handled efficiently with minimal supervision.

Experience as an experienced forklift operator with a history of safe operation is required. You will read work orders, inspect materials, maintain records, and coordinate with supervisors on inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years' experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred.
• Ability to stand for a 10-hour day in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Carry products, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle all material needed in the fabrication department.
• Identify, label, and store materials in appropriate storage areas.
• Inspect materials for damage or defects and report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of materials received and distributed.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material needs.
• Examine forklifts daily and fill out a checklist.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding inventory.
• Sort materials or objects for processing or transport.
• Other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
