Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a skilled Life Safety Systems Technician to install, operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot facility-wide life safety systems at our Taylor, Texas facility. You will monitor TGMS, flame detectors, spill alarms and ESD controls while ensuring NFPA and OSHA compliance.

The role requires hands-on experience with low-voltage wiring, gas detection instrumentation, and PLC/DCS interfaces, plus adherence to MOC and SOPs in a high-stakes manufacturing

Qualificações

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Fire Protection, or related preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in life safety, fire protection systems, industrial, semiconductor or mission-critical environments preferred.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements (federal/state/local codes).
• Strong analytical, organizational and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead design efforts, coordinate corrective maintenance activities and manage deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Support daily planned and unplanned operation and monitoring of life safety systems including fire alarm, fire suppression, toxic gas monitoring and related systems.
• Coordinate with approved vendors and contractors for inspection, testing, maintenance and repairs of life safety systems.
• Interpret, apply and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local codes (IFC, IBC, NFPA, etc.), industry standards and company requirements.
• Lead or support life safety design efforts in coordination with project teams and subcontractors.
• Identify abnormalities, alarms and deficiencies and elevate per established protocols.
• Support hazard identification, risk assessments and mitigation strategies for life safety system performance and risk reduction.
• Assist with audits, inspections, interface and documentation required for life safety operations.
• Work hours: A Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.
