Job summary

CBEM seeks a Critical Intervention Specialist in Chico, CA, to provide crisis support and stabilization planning for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs. The role is full-time and requires a Master’s degree in MFT, MSW, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or ABA, plus at least one year of experience with challenging behaviors.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in MFT, MSW, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or ABA.
• One year of experience working with persons with challenging behaviors is required.
• California Driver's license in good standing and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to individuals in crisis; preventative, acute, or chronic crisis management.
• Develop a Stabilization Plan and Case Review.
• Consult with a Psychiatrist, BCBA, and Psychologist.
• Participate in a hotline rotation to address acute crisis calls.
• Participate in clinical trainings.
• Participate and/or facilitate Interdisciplinary planning meetings.

Salary

$72,510.98 + opportunities for quarterly bonuses

Who You Are

• Must hold a Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT), Social Work (MSW), Counseling (Clinical, School, or Guidance), Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Experience in the mental health or applied behavior analysis field required.
• Experience supporting individuals with severe mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must have a California Driver's license in good standing and insurance.

The Job
