Job summary

MARTINEZ AND COMPANY in Tampa, FL is seeking a part-time Security Officer for 2nd shift to support critical infrastructure sites. You will perform access control, patrols, and incident response, working with local law enforcement and security teams.

Candidates should have a Florida Class D license, be able to obtain TWIC, and possess a high school diploma. Training is provided, including industry certifications, with pathways to advancement.

MARTINEZ AND COMPANY is actively recruiting disciplined, dedicated, and well-trained State of Florida Class D licensed security officers to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team working in the Port of Tampa and/or Manatee. We’re looking for reliable, team-oriented professionals capable of working alongside local and federal law enforcement while operating under Homeland Security protocols. These roles primarily involve access control and security operations in Hillsborough County, with potential assignments across the Tampa Bay Area. We emphasize continued training and professional development to ensure our officers perform at the highest level.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• In possession of an approved Florida Class "D" license from the DOACS.
• In possession of the Transportation Worker Identification Credential ( TWIC ).
• Ability to provide proof of a high school/college diploma, a transcript, a DD-214, or a valid state GED certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in security or any US military/law enforcement-related positions .
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnights, weekends
