Job summary

Martinez and Company, a long‑standing family‑owned security provider in Florida, seeks an Armed Security Critical Infrastructure Officer for 1st shift in Tampa. You will implement safety procedures, monitor premises, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Required Florida Class D and G licenses, 40‑hour unarmed and 28‑hour armed courses, TWIC, and strong English communication. Training and advancement opportunities accompany competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current or previous U.S. military or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Possession of required Florida security licenses and certifications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC along with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures and responding to incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols of client sites and perimeter, adjusting to client needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and using problem‑solving skills
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary depending on the client site

Required Qualifications and Licenses

• Possession of approved Florida Class "D" and "G" licenses from the State of Florida DOACS
• Completion of an approved State of Florida 40‑hour Unarmed Security Officer Course and 28‑hour Armed Security Officer Course
• Possession of the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Ability to provide proof of high school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED certificate
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving history

Minimum Qualifications and Education

• Current or previous U.S. military or law enforcement experience (documentation required for preference entitlement)
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute to assigned job sites
• 24/7 access to a smartphone and computer with internet connectivity
• Intermediate computer skills, including emailing, web browsing, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be self‑motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks
• Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing, and ability to interpret complex instructions, procedures, and regulations
• Ability to work safely in various environments, including commercial and industrial locations
• Capacity to obtain necessary personal uniform items
• Good physical condition, including the ability to walk up and down stairs in limited spaces and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Additional Skills
