Job summary

Martinez and Company is seeking disciplined security officers to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team in Hillsborough and Manatee counties, Florida. The role covers armed and unarmed positions with 2nd shift availability and a starting wage of 18.00–24.00 USD per hour, plus paid training and advancement potential.

Responsibilities include applying site-specific safety procedures, responding calmly to incidents, and patrolling premises.

Qualifications

• Possession of Florida Class D and G security licenses from DOACS.
• Completion of a State of Florida 40-hour Unarmed Security Officer Course and 28-hour Armed Security Officer Course.
• Possession of the TWIC credential.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter; adapt to client site requirements.

Armed Critical Infrastructure Security Officer

Position Overview

Martinez and Company is actively seeking disciplined, dedicated, and well‑trained Florida Class "D" and Armed "G" License Security Officers to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team.

Locations: Hillsborough County and Manatee County, Florida

Employment Type: Full‑Time, 2nd Shift

Various Shifts Available: Monday through Sunday

Shift Time: 12:00 pm – 12:00 am

Starting Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, the pay rate varies based on site position

* Includes 12 hours of new hire paid training between minimum wage and site training at $18/hour.

* Final Interview Process is a 4-hour unpaid Pre‑Hire Orientation.

Required Qualifications and Licenses

Minimum Qualifications and Education (Candidates MUST meet the following requirements before submitting the job application)

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute to assigned job sites
• 24/7 access to a smartphone and computer with internet connectivity
• Intermediate computer skills, including emailing, web browsing, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be self‑motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks
• Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing, and ability to interpret complex instructions, procedures, and regulations
• Ability to work safely in various environments, including commercial and industrial locations
• Capacity to obtain personal uniform items
• Good physical condition, including the ability to walk up and down stairs in limited spaces and lift up to 50 pounds
