Job summary

Dignity Health - Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, CA seeks an experienced Utility Engineer to ensure reliable operation of essential hospital utilities. You will maintain HVAC, electrical, and plumbing networks, diagnose issues, and perform timely repairs to support critical patient care.

You will collaborate with Facilities Management and clinical staff to prevent outages and optimize system performance in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of hospital utility work experience.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to climb stairs and ladders and work around patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor hospital utility systems including chillers, boilers, air handlers, emergency generators and medical gas systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance; diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Use blueprints/schematics to restore full functionality and collaborate with Facilities Management and other departments.
