Dignity Health - Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, CA seeks an experienced Utility Engineer to ensure reliable operation of essential hospital utilities. You will maintain HVAC, electrical, and plumbing networks, diagnose issues, and perform timely repairs to support critical patient care.
You will collaborate with Facilities Management and clinical staff to prevent outages and optimize system performance in a fast-paced hospital environment.
As our Utility Engineer, you will be a mission-critical specialist, ensuring the uninterrupted and efficient operation of our essential infrastructure that underpins the entire facility. You will be instrumental in maintaining the complex network of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, guaranteeing a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for all occupants and critical operations. Every day you will meticulously operate, monitor, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide array of utility systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, emergency generators, and medical gas systems. You will expertly diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot intricate issues, and execute timely repairs, utilizing blueprints and technical schematics to restore full functionality. To be successful in this role, you will leverage your deep technical expertise, advanced troubleshooting skills, and meticulous attention to detail to proactively prevent system failures and rapidly resolve emergent issues under pressure. You will collaborate seamlessly with Facilities Management, other engineers, and departmental staff, acting as a crucial technical resource and ensuring seamless integration of utility services.
