Facilities maintenance services for a Salute client-owned data center portfolio. Essential needs:
• General services technicians for theSalute clientdata center within the Maiden, NC area, with an emphasis on non-critical maintenance activity
• Minimum 8-hour day shifts 5 days per week, equating to 40-hour work week, or 10-hour shifts 4 days per week, client specifies.
Job Summary The provided general services resources will execute in accordance with the Salute client-defined Maintenance and Operations program based on Salute standards and in coordination with client site operations team It is essential to comply with both organizational and governmental standards for operations and work safety, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and safety in the workplace Respond quickly to emergencies that may be detrimental to the facility’s operations and coordinate Responsible for performing and assisting with preventative and ongoing maintenance for non-critical mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical data centers to ensure operational efficiency and maximum facility uptime. Regularly inspects and monitors equipment and responds to irregularities or malfunctions. Respond quickly to emergencies that may be detrimental to the facility’s operations and coordinate conditions. Complies with organizational and governmental standards for operations and work safety. The scope of roles and responsibilities for personnel will include:
• Non-Critical Infrastructure Preventive Maintenance activities
• Vendor oversight and escort
• Snow removal / Salting (if applicable)
• Door hardware repair/replacement
• Vehicle maintenance (Trucks, side by side, skid steer, forklifts, pallet jacks etc.)
Key Qualifications
• Must demonstrate an understanding of risk mitigation practices and their application in critical sites.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and demonstrate excellent time management.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and overcurrent protective devices.
• Familiarity with sophisticated equipment monitoring, alarm, and building automated management systems in all aspects of life safety and fire alarm systems.
• Must be a team player committed to working in a continuously improving, quality environment.
Responsibilities
• Perform maintenance activities to ensure the highest level of efficiency without disruption to the business
• Accurate and timely completion of work order requests that include performing equipment inspections through the daily recording of rounds and readings
• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the facilities, including all non-critical building systems.
• Work with the client and data center personnel to schedule equipment to be taken off-line so that preventative maintenance can be performed.
• Monitor the operation of electrical and mechanical equipment supporting the facility and the facility’s critical operations. • Provide vendor support for project and task oversight.
• Must be able to respond to operational and emergencies immediately.
• Perform other duties as required.
Physical Factors
• Typically on their feet for up to 8 hours per day.
• Lift, carry, push/pull up to 75 lbs. Average products weigh between 25 lb. - 50 lbs. Equipment lifts are provided for larger items.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach as required, on a continuous basis, throughout their shift.
• Use of appropriate PPE will be required and may include the use of safety glasses, shoes, gloves, and face shields.
Work Schedule
• General Service Technicians operate on a standard 8-hour day working shift with an average 40-hour work week.
• Overtime may be required depending on business needs.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Education
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in a mission-critical site environment preferred.
