Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Building Support Specialist/Tech to ensure seamless facility operations in a dynamic, client-focused environment. You will handle both soft services like meeting support and tours, and hard services including maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.

The role requires a proactive, customer-oriented approach in a 24/7 setting, with on-site responsibilities and collaboration with the Facilities Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive facilities, workplace, or site-services experience.
• Experience managing work orders, preventive maintenance, inspections, and vendor performance.
• Working knowledge of CMMS/work-order systems.
• Experience with platforms such as Corrigo or ServiceNow, and dashboards/budget tools.
• Experience in a client-facing, multi-site, or mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Assist with inventory management and stock levels.
• Provide soft services support for meetings, tours, signage, and events.
• Perform routine maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Ensure safety compliance and use of PPE in all tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and service history.
