Job summary

Newmark is seeking a data center operations engineer to support a critical data center environment for a fast-paced technology company. You will maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, fire safety and HVAC systems, monitor readings, and respond to faults to ensure continuous operation of mission-critical infrastructure.

The role requires at least five years in data center operations, strong safety knowledge, and proficiency with building automation and power monitoring systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in critical data center operations engineering.
• CFC certification is a plus.
• Proficient computer and email skills.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance and work order systems.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, security and fire protection systems for data centers.
• Identify and respond to faults and emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local codes and standards.
• Perform preventative tests, analyze data and adjust equipment as needed.
• Monitor cooling & power systems and record readings for optimization.
• Maintain maintenance logs and reports; coordinate outside contractors as required.
• Read blueprints and adhere to SOPs and change control processes.
• Interact with teams to handle service requests; may be on-call after hours.
