Job summary

Verisign is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer in Delaware to lead design, installation and upgrade of Critical Facilities Infrastructure Systems for the Verisign network. You will work on data center spaces, power, cooling, and life safety systems.

Responsibilities include space and power analysis, maintenance of data center infrastructure, project and vendor management, documentation, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Telecommunications), or equivalent
• 5+ years in telecom or related industry with facility engineering maintenance
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external personnel
• Knowledge of power and HVAC systems including 480 V 3-phase, diesel generators, UPS, and 48 V DC
• Plan and engineer complete power and HVAC systems for Verisign facilities

Responsibilities

• Provide logistical and engineering support for data center services, tracking and analyzing space, power and cooling requirements
• Maintenance and upkeep of data center space, power and environmental systems
• Project planning, reporting and vendor management capabilities
• Preventative maintenance and project management, contract management, equipment specs
• Create and maintain maintenance records, deficiency tracking, and repair planning
• Equipment repair and replacement forecasting
• Produce commissioning and testing checklists for life safety, security, power and environmental systems
• Verify that systems are wired in and supervised by NOC
• Review electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and manage bids
• Participate in site surveys to identify facility requirements
• Shift is 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday; on-call two weeks on/off; secondary/tertiary coverage
