Job summary

MedVet is seeking a Critical Care Veterinary Technician in Chicago, offering a hiring range of $24-$29/hour. This role involves constant supervision of patients, assisting with treatments and procedures, and providing client education. Ideal candidates will have prior veterinary experience and a State Registered Veterinary Technician license (preferred).

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience is required; previous Critical Care, Nursing or Emergency experience is desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessary.
• Evaluate incoming patients and prioritize based on assessment.
• Partner with the patient-care team regarding treatment plans and nursing care concerns.
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients.
