Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Clinical Transport Nurse to deliver high-level nursing care, including assessment, triage, and treatment for critically ill patients. The role involves autonomous practice outside of traditional hospital settings and managing advanced life support equipment across ambulances, helicopters, and aircraft.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license, BSN preferred, and be certified in EMT and potentially Paramedic within one year.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license for the state of work; EMT/Paramedic certifications as required by transport role.
• Parademic certification required within one year of orientation or per departmental policy.
• Advanced certifications such as CFRN/CTRN/CEN/CCRN preferred to maintain transport position.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care with high-quality assessment, triage, and treatment.
• Operate autonomous outside hospital environments under protocols.
• Manage ventilator settings and hemodynamic support for critical patients.
• Initiate advanced practice procedures for improved patient outcomes.
• Transport and monitor patients using aviation and ground transport modalities.
