Job summary

The Critical Care Technician (CCT) supports RNs in acute care at Froedtert Health, providing age-appropriate care in a culturally sensitive manner. Reports to the Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and the on-duty RN.

Completion of the Critical Care Tech course and BLS within 90 days are required. Education includes a High School diploma or equivalent; Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification or enrollment in a nursing program with documentation is required, along with arrhythmia recognition

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification required or enrolled in nursing program with documentation.
• AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse with delegated tasks in acute care.
• Provide age-appropriate care in a culturally and ethically sensitive manner.
• Report to the Nurse Manager and on-duty RN each shift.
• Complete required training and competency checklists.
